I know it's not Thanksgiving, but as much as I grieve Takahashi Kazuki-sensei, I have so much to thank him for, too. His creation of Yu-Gi-Oh! has propelled my life forward since infancy, thanks to a copy of Starter Deck: Yuugi; I went to and from the game, but I remember eventually settling on Takahashi-sensei's game of Yu-Gi-Oh! soon before I met @BrotherlyFluff, with whom I am best friends with thanks to the game. :heart:
Sometime in the 1st half of 2013, I went on 1 of my breaks in favor of Cardfight!! Vanguard, made by manga artist Itou Akira https://twitter.com/Vg_akira-- who, alongside manga artist Kageyama Naoyuki, both worked on the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga with Takahashi-sensei; Kageyama-sensei eventually went on to make the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX manga.
I did find a favorite character in Cardfight!! Vanguard, not to be completely unfair to that franchise, but nevertheless, my absolute favorite characters come from Takahashi-sensei's Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. Takahashi-sensei, thanks
